The funniest and most embarrassing is when women get fake tan over their legs only to forget about the ankles and feet, and on top of that decide its ok to wear a short skirt and flip flops. Another embarrassing mistake is having orange hands and not even bothering to cover them up.

A while ago there was a really good offer for a toning disc in Avon. I thought I’d give it a try because it was easy exercise; it only cost me £10. I used it everyday starting at five minutes each evening, then increasing it to about fifteen minutes at a time. I don’t know if it made me any slimmer, but I could feel the workout afterwards. I’m not sure why I stopped it may have been I got bored, even though it was cheap and I did it while watching TV.

There are many brands on the market today be it cosmetics or Christmas cards that have an incentive of donating money to charity. It makes people feel better when they buy something that will also help others in return. There are shops that supply hand made cards made by people raising money for charities; they are more personal and unique because they haven’t been mass-produced.

Cosmetics are also doing the same thing buy purchasing their products they give a percentage or fixed amount to a chosen charity.

Retailers are selling ethically produced cotton clothing, when clothes are purchased all profit made go to the workers who picked cotton from the fields and the seamstress who sew the pieces together.

You can even buy fair-trade products like tea; coffee and chocolate just remember to look for the official logo.

I’ve wanted to have my teeth whitened for years so when I found a good offer read the procedure and any risks associated with it, I booked my appointment.

I had to give a deposit of around £50 just in case I cancelled at the last minute and I also received a home kit so I can a have top up when I want.

I hade my gums covered and a retractor placed to protect my cheeks then the gel was placed on each tooth and a laser placed over it. The process is about an hour.

Towards the end I did feel some pain that made my eyes water but in the end it was worth it. I had to avoid hot food, cold food and anything that would stain my teeth for a little while. I haven’t had any problems with sensitivity or bleeding gums and I am happy.

Next up is having my bottom teeth straightened!

A few years ago I worked in a health centre that had a team of specialists that worked with people who had eating disorders.

80% of the patients were women but I was very surprised when there were male patients too. There was a patient who once took over 10 minutes to walk up 7 steps, she was so frail, being anorexic aged her by many years. I was sad to find out that she eventually died.

It was nice to see that many people who came to the clinic for eating disorders eventually recovered and put on enough weight to be discharged.

There was a young boy who was about 16 years old, he was very tall but very emaciated, his face was sunken in and he was very pale. I was so sure that he wouldn’t live very long. After a few months he was a completely different person, he was smiling, talkative and no longer withdrawn.

It has since been 4 years since I worked there and the problem is only getting worse, there are too many young people who watch TV and believe what they see. Not everyone in Hollywood is a ‘size zero’ most won’t admit it but magazines, film posters and features are all airbrushed to perfection.

Don’t always believe what you see, it’s not worth killing yourself over.

For the past year I have been nagging my husband to let me have my breasts enlarged. Saying this I know I don’t need it, I’m already a 34D and showing no signs of stopping. Like all women we all hate our bodies no matter how perfect our partners say we are we don’t believe them.

So after reading about Macrolane I’m thinking maybe I should give it a go. If I don’t like it then after a year or so I will be back to my natural size. The reviews have been good but unless I try for myself I will never know.

I quite fortunate not to have to think twice before paying £2,600 for them to be temporarily bigger, but for another £1000 I could have results that are permanent.

If you’re not fortunate enough to blow near enough £3000 for a temporary boob job, i’d advise you to have a permanent one.

She told me once that while in Primark she decided to stock up on underwear, her favourite are boy shorts costing £1.50 each. She bought 6 bringing the total to £8, when she came home she was so happy that she bought bargain underwear.

If it were me I would’ve gone into La Senza or Marks and Spencer costing me £4 each.

The next day she decided to wear her favourite out of the 6 that she had bought. They were very comfortable and bright red. A few hours later she went to the toilet when pulling up her new boy shorts they ripped across the top leaving a huge gaping hole under the elastic.

Upset she burst into my room and pulled down her trousers for me to see, I’ve never laughed so much. There was no point in sewing them up they would’ve only ripped again so she threw them all away after wearing them only once.

I will to stick to La Senza and Marks and Spencer because although I buy new underwear every few months I can guarantee they wont get holes, loose shape or tear.

What my sister thought was a bargain turned out more expensive because she had to re-buy new underwear costing her an additional £24 bringing the total she spent to £32.

If buying £4 a pair is too expensive look out for 3 for 2 offers that can bring the cost down.

A few years ago I was up late watching a program about male grooming I found it was strange to be on after 10pm after watching for half an hour I found out why.

It started off with having a haircut, getting eyebrows tidied and even men having their nails done the last feature of the show was on a young man getting his sack and crack waxed as a surprise for his girlfriend.

He must’ve been about 24 years old; he was very fair skinned and had ginger hair all over.
As he lay half naked on the couch he was bright red with embarrassment, however he hardly had any hair down there anyway.
The waxer spread the wax on and pulled it off he took it quite well, then he turned over and it looked like an x-rated movie.

He had to get down on all fours while she put the wax between his bum cheeks, you could see everything. The crack looked like the most painful.
When the waxer had finished he got dressed and said it was very painful, depending on his girlfriends reaction he wouldn’t mind coming back again to have it done.
